Care systems are essential for creating equitable societies, as they enable women’s economic empowerment and enhance community well-being. This project in Da Nang, undertaken by DPA with funding from UN Women Vietnam, focused on analyzing the demand and supply of care services to advocate for investments in affordable, quality care systems. By leveraging geo-spatial analysis, DPA identified care needs and gaps, considering demographic, socio-economic and environmental factors. The research included mapping childcare centers, assessing accessibility, and providing data-driven strategies to expand equitable care. Activities range from designing the research framework to leveraging satellite images and geo-coded administrative data, all aimed at promoting gender equality and empowering women.
