Jesse Anttila-Hughes

Jesse Keith Anttila-Hughes is an Assistant Professor of Applied Econometrics in the University of San Francisco’s Economics Department, and one of the primary advisors of the IDEC Master’s program. His research focuses on combining social and natural science data to understand the economic and human costs of disasters and climate change. His current interests center on untangling behavioral and biological pathways through which the climate influences health and human capital outcomes, especially in children and women. He received his Ph.D. in Sustainable Development from Columbia University in 2012, and his A.B. in Physics from Harvard in 2002.
