Ahmad Momar Diop is a dedicated volunteer intern at Data-Pop Alliance (DPA), where he contributes his extensive skills in data engineering and data science to support the organization’s mission. At DPA, he focuses on gathering and processing data, developing machine learning models, and creating insightful visualizations to drive informed decision-making and enhance community outcomes.
Ahmad is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering and Mathematical Engineering at Polytech Paris-Saclay, part of Université Paris-Saclay. His academic journey has provided him with a robust foundation in software development, database design, and machine learning, which he has applied to various academic projects, including clustering fruit images using machine learning techniques and designing a customer relationship management (CRM) application.
Professionally, Ahmad has gained significant experience through various internships and roles. As a Big Data intern at RINTIO France in Paris, he collected and processed data using Python and Apache Spark, transforming data into Parquet format for efficient storage. His role as a Full-Stack Developer intern at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Telecommunications in Dakar involved designing a digital directory for the ministry. Additionally, Ahmad has experience as a private tutor, where he has been tutoring middle and high school students in Mathematics, French, and English, helping them cultivate their talents and achieve academic success.
Ahmad’s skills and accomplishments have been recognized through various achievements.His technical skills span a wide range of programming languages and tools, including Linux, Java, Python, C++, SQL, Apache Spark, and web technologies. Ahmad has also developed and optimized databases, designed advanced interfaces, and implemented machine learning algorithms.
Beyond his academic and professional pursuits, Ahmad is passionate about several areas related to DPA’s work. He has a strong interest in leveraging data for social good.Ahmad believes in the transformative power of data to drive positive change and is committed to using his expertise to support initiatives that improve community well-being. He is also an advocate for knowledge sharing and enjoys exploring how data transparency can enhance accountability and foster innovation.
In his free time, Ahmad enjoys reading and writing, meditation, and problem-solving. He is also an avid football fan and believes in the importance of balancing professional pursuits with personal interests to maintain a well-rounded and fulfilling life.
