Albert Ali Salah is a Professor of Social and Affective Computing at the Department of Information and Computing Sciences of Utrecht University, the Netherlands. He works on multimodal interfaces, pattern recognition, computer vision, and computer analysis of human behavior. He initiated the Data for Refugees (D4R) Challenge, which aims using aggregated and anonymized mobile CDR data from Turkish citizens and refugees to improve the living conditions of Syrian refugees in Turkey. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a member of ACM.
