Alina Sotolongo

Alina Sotolongo is a Data Scientist & Machine Learning Operations Officer at Data-Pop Alliance.  She has a PhD in Applied Mathematics, from the Mathematics Research Center (CIMAT), and an MA in Applied Mathematics from the same institute, located in Guanajuato, Mexico, as well as a BS in Mathematics from The Havana University.

Her professional experience includes working as a Data Scientist at the Cuban National Institute of Oncology and Radiobiology and as an Assistant Researcher at Havana University. Also, she has experience teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Her main interests include statistics, data analysis, probability theory, risk analysis, mathematical modeling, numerical analysis, differential equations and dynamical systems, and their application to health and social good.
