Andrés Clavijo

Andrés Clavijo holds a B.S. and an M.A. in Economics from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, where he has also taught various economics courses as well as at Universidad del Rosario. He has been a consultant for the World Bank, an advisor to the Deputy Director of the National Administrative Department of Statistics (DANE) in Colombia, an economic analyst and a research assistant at Universidad de Los Andes and Yale University’s Department of Political Science. He co-authored a book about budget inflexibility in Latin America and his interests include fiscal policy, urban economics, poverty, survey design, econometrics, Big Data, open data, smart cities and innovation. His Master’s thesis examined the social impact of value added tax on mobile phones in Colombia.
