Bárbara Battistotti Vieira

Bárbara Battistotti is a Project & Research Officer in the Data Feminism program at Data-Pop Alliance. She is a licensed psychologist (CRP-01/27215), having earned a Bachelor of Science degree with First Honours from Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados (UFGD). In 2024, she will embark on her MSc in Global Health at the University of Geneva. Previously, she was selected as one of the young leaders for the Botín Foundation’s exchange program aimed at trengthening public service in Latin America, featuring institutions like Universidad de Salamanca (Spain), Universidad de Los Andes (Colombia), and Fundação Getúlio Vargas (Brazil).
Prior to her current role, Bárbara gained valuable experience as a junior researcher, focusing on a range of topics such as trichotillomania, cognitive dissonance, and stigma, indigenous women’s health, inclusion, and ethics—having published four book chapters and three articles in peer-reviewed journals. Bárbara has also worked as an intern in psychological assessment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), social work and legal psychology. In addition to her academic pursuits, she also volunteered at the AIESEC Raise and Voice project in Peru, at the Associação pela Saúde Emocional de Crianças (ASEC+) remotely, at the Ministry of Defense’s RONDON project in Minas Gerais, and served as the Director of Communications at Rede Vocare. In the past three years, she has contributed to the Guateka health promotion project alongside indigenous women in Brazil.
She is currently a member of the Global Mental Health Network (GMNAH), and her primary interests are cognitive psychology, epidemiology, gender studies, and interculturality.
