Elizabeth Stuart

Co-Director for ODI

Elizabeth Stuart is Head of the Growth, Poverty and Inequality Programme and Team Leader for the Sustainable Development Goals at the Overseas Development Institute. Her areas of interest include multilateral processes, and the political economy of national-level policy making. In 2015 she co-authored (with Emma Samman, William Avis and Tom Berliner) the report “The data revolution: finding the mission millions”. Before joining ODI, she was director of policy and research for Save the Children, a former head of Oxfam International’s Washington DC office, and is a former national newspaper journalist. She holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Manchester and Master degrees from the University of London in Global Politics, International Affairs, and Literature.
