Fabiola Schwarz

Fabiola Schwarz is a Research and Content Intern at Data-Pop Alliance. She holds a BA degree in International Relations and Management from the Technical University of Applied Sciences in Regensburg and is currently pursuing an MSc in Politics & Technology at the Technical University of Munich, Germany. Her research focus is on quantitative methods, computational social sciences, and IT-security from a political science perspective. During her undergraduate studies, she spent an exchange semester at the Saint Petersburg State University in Russia and completed internships with the socio-political journal Nueva Sociedad in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and with ProDiálogo, a Peruvian NGO for conflict prevention and transformation. 

After high school, Fabiola volunteered for two years at the environmental NGO Econtinuidad Perú, carrying out school projects in Lima and the Andes. As undergraduate student she held a position as Working Student in Cybersecurity Consulting at KPMG Cologne, Germany. Following these experiences, she worked as a Research Assistant in quality management systems at the NATO Civil-Military Cooperation Centre of Excellence (CCOE) in The Hague, The Netherlands. Currently, she is employed as a Research Assistant in the International Cybersecurity (ICS) Project at the Institute for Peace Research and Security Policy in Hamburg (IFSH). 

Fabiola is passionate about intercultural communication and exploring new languages, such as Russian and Turkish. Additionally, she is intrigued with the positive and negative effects of information technologies on human security, gender equality, and climate change.
