Luma Mariath

Luma Mariath is a International Relations student at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She serves as a SDG Coordinator in the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN-Youth) and works as a researcher for both the MENA group of Feminist Observatory of International Relations and the Laboratory of Security and Defense Studies. She is also a research director for the Strategic Policy Group. Prior to her role at DPA, Luma has focused her work and attention on topics related to gender inequality, international security and peace studies, conflict and migration by working with Global Diplomatic Forum, UNICEF, Techfugees, Tech2Peace and through fellowships such as EmbodyingPeace, Youth Istanbul Project and Kosovo Center of Diplomacy’s Summer Academy on peacebuilding in post-conflict areas. At Data-Pop Alliance, Luma brings her commitment to the digital, gender and development agendas in order to contribute to DPA’s projects.
