Marco Priego is the Operations Director at Data-Pop Alliance. He has developed his career in sustainable cities, leading strategies for the development of urban mobility public policies that are reflected in public transport, cycling and pedestrian projects that are financially sustainable and having a vision of road safety. He has more than 15 years of experience working in sustainable development in the non-profit, private and public sectors. Skilled at developing strategies and leading teams to implement public policies and engage stakeholders in the private and public sector.
He has been a professor, project executor, and consultant for mobility, climate finance, and public policy analysis. Prior to Data-Pop Alliance he was Urban Mobility Director at the World Resources Institute, Manager of Mobility and Road Safety for 3M Mexico, and the Manager of Public Transport at CTS EMBARQ Mexico. Marco holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Veracruzana, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH), and a master’s degree in Public Policies from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico (ITAM). He is currently studying his third master’s in finance at the ITAM.
