
Maria Paula is the Research and Content Intern at Data-Pop Alliance. She holds a BA in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil, a LLM in International Human Rights Law from Queens’ Mary University of London, and a MSc in Political Science from the Central European University, Viena. Maria Paula has focused on topics related to gender inequality, especially political violence, gendered disinformation, and political participation. Prior to working at DPA, Maria Paula developed research on online misogyny for the Technical University of Munich, and for different Brazilian civil society organizations on the topics of gender-based and LGBTphobic political violence and digital platform regulation. She also worked as a research and data trainee for the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights at the Anti-Racism and Non-Discrimination Sector on large-based surveys.
