Miguel Mejía Hernández

Miguel Mejía Hernández is a Full-Stack Developer at Data-Pop Alliance (DPA), contributing to the design and implementation of digital tools that support data-driven humanitarian and development initiatives. In his role, he focuses on backend and frontend development, systems integration, and data engineering workflows that enhance the organization’s technological capabilities.

Miguel holds a BS in Computer Systems Engineering from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN), where he studied at the Escuela Superior de Cómputo. He has complemented his technical education with a diploma in Data Science and additional certified courses in data engineering, web development, and systems architecture. He is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), at the Faculty of Accounting and Administration, expanding his expertise at the intersection of technology and organizational management.

Professionally, Miguel has worked across several sectors—including Banking, Transportation, and Finance—where he has served as a Backend Developer, Full-Stack Developer, Data Engineer, and Data Architect. Throughout these roles, he has contributed to the development of robust digital infrastructures, data processing pipelines, and scalable applications. His multidisciplinary background has allowed him to work with a wide range of technologies, tools, and methodologies, while strengthening his skills in problem-solving, system design, and cross-functional collaboration.

Miguel has also participated in internal technical presentations and collaborative development workshops, sharing insights on software engineering practices and data architecture principles. His commitment to continuous learning is reflected in his participation in specialized training programs, technical communities, and personal research initiatives within the fields of data and technology for social impact.

Driven by curiosity and a passion for applied technology, Miguel’s areas of interest include data systems for development, digital transformation, and the use of artificial intelligence to improve public services and humanitarian responses. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys sports—particularly soccer and long-distance running—and has taken part in major events such as the Mexico City Half Marathon and Marathon. He values spending time with his family, with whom he frequently attends sporting and cultural events, reflecting his belief in balance, community, and shared experiences.
