Mycala was the Executive Director of the Data Feminism Network podcast, for which she led content development, audio editing, and logistics for the organization’s show. She now serves as an advisor for the DPA Data Feminism Program. Mycala holds a Masters in Global Affairs from the University of Toronto and a BA in Political Science and Economics from the University of British Columbia.
Mycala is also a Senior Analyst at the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth, where she supports internal research initiatives and knowledge partnerships. In her role, she works to strengthen Mastercard’s thought leadership on financial inclusion and inclusive growth, and explores ways to leverage data science and artificial intelligence to enhance social impact. She also sits on the advisory board of the Economy Zero Group, where she bridges knowledge gaps between decarbonization and climate change with global inclusive growth.
Mycala has prior experience with non-profits working to reduce food insecurity, having performed environmental risk assessments for Action Against Hunger (Peru) and Tsomanotik (Mexico). She also served as Co-Executive Producer of Beyond the Headlines, a nationally syndicated podcast that makes global affairs and public policy topics accessible to Canadians.
