Nicolas de Cordes is Data-Pop Alliance’s Director of Operations and Marketing. With a robust background in data-driven development and a deep commitment to social impact, Nicolas brings a wealth of experience to the organization. He previously served as Chief Commercial Officer at Upp.com, where he integrated social and environmental goals into the company’s core strategy, and as Vice President Marketing Anticipation at Orange Group, where he led pioneering Data for Development projects in Ivory Coast and Senegal.
Nicolas is also a co-founder and Advisory Board member of OPAL (Open Algorithms), a key initiative of Data-Pop Alliance that promotes safe and ethical access to private sector data through innovative, privacy-preserving algorithms. His work in these roles reflects his dedication to using data responsibly to tackle global challenges.
Nicolas holds a degree from Ecole Polytechnique of Brussels and is recognized for his expertise in Big Data, IoT, and 3D printing. At Data-Pop Alliance, he oversees the organization’s operational and marketing strategies, driving the mission to harness data for informed decision-making and sustainable development.
