Nigora Isamiddinova

Nigora Isamiddinova is the Director of the Resilient Livelihoods and Ecosystems Program at DPA.  She holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University and an MPA in Development Practice with specializations in Advanced Economic & Policy Analysis and Management from the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). As a development practitioner and public policy specialist, she has a passion for designing systems and solutions to sustainable development challenges. Prior to joining DPA, she worked on youth development and financial inclusion in Tunisia, conducted research on conservation financing and climate change induced rise in conflicts and migration in West Africa and data analytics tools to inform decision making in public policy. Her professional experiences span five countries across four continents (USA, France, Uzbekistan, Senegal and Tunisia). She also worked as a Process Engineer and Project Manager in the pharmaceutical industry.

As a Project Manager and Researcher at DPA, Nigora is leading COVID-19 socio-economic impact assessment and recovery projects in Liberia, South Sudan, Togo and Maldives. Her interests and expertise lie at the intersection of inclusive growth, climate change and mainstreaming the use of data, evidence and participatory methodologies in policy-making.
