Núbia Rodrigues

Núbia Rodrigues is a Project and Research Officer in the Data Feminism Program at Data-Pop Alliance. She holds a BA in Psychology from Federal University of São João del-Rei (UFSJ), and currently, she is specializing in Global Health and Health Diplomacy at ENSP/Fiocruz, and in Epistemologies of the South at the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). 

Since the time she went to Colombia for a student mobility program, at Santo Tomás University, she has dedicated to gender studies, especially related to migration. She led two research projects, analyzing the migratory experiences of Venezuelan women in Bogotá, and of women professional’s part of the host network in Minas Gerais, Brazil. 

Before joining DPA, Núbia worked as a Project Intern at the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). She has also been involved in a number of voluntary projects to support social protection initiatives in her local community. She is passionate about youth advocacy, previously enrolling in programs from King’s College London, Indiana University and UNICEF Brazil. 

These opportunities have expanded her interests in building intercultural dialogues and finding collective solutions to global challenges, an ambition she hopes to keep pursuing now with the DPA team.
