Co-Director for HHI

Phuong Pham, PhD, Research Scientist at Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH), a Lecturer at Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine, Director of Program Evaluation and Implementation Science with the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative (HHI). An epidemiologist by training, Dr. Pham’s work focuses on mixed applications of epidemiologic methods, social sciences, and technology to understand the impact of conflict and complex emergencies on affected communities. To overcome critical challenges of collecting and sharing data in crisis situations, Dr. Pham co-founded KoboToolbox.org (a suite of digital data collection and visualization tools) and Peacebuildingdata.org (an online portal of primary research data on peacebuilding indicators). Her research and innovation have been widely adopted by various global program and agencies.
