Valentina Rozo Ángel is a Project and Research Officer for both the Data Feminism and Geographies of Inequalities Program. With a background in economics and business administration from the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia), Valentina holds a master’s degree in economics from the same institution, as well as a master’s in data science from Universidad de San Andrés (Argentina). She was a 2022-2023 Fox International Fellow at Yale University.
Valentina started her career at the Colombia-based think-do-tank Dejusticia, where she was the first economist to join the litigation team. Afterward, she became the Analytics Lead at the Colombian Truth Commission, leading more than 30 research projects to find patterns of violence that occurred during over 60 years of conflict. She has been a consultant for multiple organizations such as the Human Rights Data Analysis Group, WWF, ICT Africa, the University of Essex, and the UN Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights.
