Victor Manuel Fonte Chavez

Victor Manuel Fonte Chavez is a Full Stack Developer at DPA. His background combines mathematics, statistics, data science, software engineering, and computer vision.

He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (BS) at the Universidad Central “Marta Abreu” de Las Villas. After graduating, Victor began his professional career as a Mathematics instructor at the same university, where he taught courses in various areas, including calculus, algebra, probability, and statistics.

In 2023, Victor moved to Mexico after receiving a scholarship to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science at the Center for Research in Mathematics (CIMAT), where he specialized in computer vision and generative models.

During his time in Mexico, he developed his career as both a software engineer and a data scientist. Victor first worked as a software developer focused on computer vision at Undercurrency, and later served as a data scientist at EDT (Exploration & Discovery Technologies).

His interests include full stack web development, generative artificial intelligence, computer vision, technology ethics, and the creation of open tools that make data analysis more accessible.
