Yasmine Kelkouli

Yasmine Kelkouli is a Fundraising Intern at Data-Pop Alliance. She is currently pursuing a BS in Politics and International Relations at University College London (UCL). Passionate about addressing global challenges, Yasmine’s interests lie at the intersection of international affairs, human rights and climate justice. She is particularly committed to exploring how policy, advocacy, and data-driven solutions can drive meaningful change on a global scale.
Her passion for social impact was first demonstrated during her internship with the French Red Cross in July 2024, where she worked within the Operations Department, specifically in communications, during the intense preparation phase for the Paris 2024 Olympics. In this role, she supported the communication efforts for over 4,000 Parisian volunteers, created compelling visual and video content for internal and social media channels, and participated in strategic meetings, ensuring tasks were prioritised and efficiently executed. Her ability to work autonomously and interact effectively with both employees and volunteers was crucial to the success of the team’s missions, and her contributions were integral to the French Red Cross’s outreach during this significant global event.
Yasmine’s keen interest in geopolitical issues within South West Asia and North Africa drives both her academic and advocacy work. As a writer for an online student magazine, she focuses on the region’s political dynamics, international relations, and the broader implications of global power shifts. Her articles critically examine how geopolitical developments influence local communities, providing in-depth analysis of the region’s evolving political landscape. Additionally, Yasmine is deeply involved in climate justice as a Policy Officer at Climate Sirens. She advocates for gender-inclusive climate policies and sustainable solutions that prioritise decolonial practices, grassroots action, and the integration of local knowledge into global climate strategies.
Through these diverse and impactful experiences, Yasmine is determined to leverage her skills to contribute meaningfully to the mission of Data-Pop Alliance.
