Big Data for Social Good 2018 – Ready for a Wild World

As part of the annual Big Data for Social Good event, hosted by Telefónica in Madrid, Emmanuel Letouzé delivered a presentation on “Big Data and Open Algorithms for Resilient Societies” and participated in the panel “Towards sustainability & scalability of Social Good initiatives – BD4SG Ready for a Wild World“.

Data-Pop was joined in speaking by other global organizations, such as GSMA and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). The event emphasized that the great potential of Big Data in this field lies in the opportunity to achieve a more equitable and environmentally sustainable development, since it allows us to obtain better responses and generate more efficient action plans.
