With over 400 registered participants, 3 days filled with events and presentations and countless stimulating conversations, the Cartagena Data Festival was an extraordinary experience and in our opinion, a great success. The festival was livestreamed for people following from home, and interacted with the Twitter community’s questions and comments. Simultaneous translation was available for non-English speaking attendees.

Data-Pop Alliance, CEPAL, y la ONE organizan primer taller en la República Dominicana sobre Big Data, Economía Digital y Desarrollo Sostenible
Santo Domingo, 09 de abril de 2019.- La Oficina Nacional de Estadística (ONE), como país coordinador del grupo de trabajo sobre medición de las tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones de la Conferencia Estadística de las Américas, en conjunto con la CEPAL y Data-Pop Alliance, dio apertura al primer Taller regional de Formación Profesional sobre Big-Data bajo el tema: “Economía Digital y Desarrollo Sostenible”. Con este evento inédito la institución busca promover la aplicación de los métodos y las herramientas del Big Data en proyectos de desarrollo sostenible.
