We are excited to announce the opening of our Latin American Office based in Mexico City. Since its first steps, DPA has maintained and expanded its in-country presence in the region. Currently, we have team-cells in Colombia, Brazil, and Chile, in addition to Mexico City. By opening a dedicated Latin America office, we aim to consolidate our presence in the region and to keep pursuing our mission to ensure that Big Data serves the interests of people worldwide by working in collaboration with those who we seek to serve the most.
This milestone further represents a point of growth for Data-Pop Alliance, coming at the hills of the need to welcome new members into the team. We are confident that this will allow us to foster new alliances and lead relevant research, training and policy projects for the Latin American region.
Of course, as a global think & do tank, we will remain critical as trends emerge and evolve within the field of (big) data and shall continue to move forward prioritizing the ethical foundation of our work.

Nos entusiasma anunciar la apertura de nuestras oficinas para América Latina con sede en la Ciudad de México. Desde sus inicios, DPA ha mantenido y expandido su presencia en la región. Actualmente, contamos con equipos de trabajo en Colombia, Brasil y Chile, además de en la CDMX. El objetivo es consolidar nuestra presencia en la región y continuar con la misión de asegurar que el uso de Big Data sirva los intereses de personas alrededor del mundo, mientras trabajamos en colaboración con los grupos más vulnerables.
Esto representa un punto clave de crecimiento para Data-Pop Alliance al coincidir con la necesidad de integrar nuevos miembros al equipo. Por ello, estamos seguros que la creación de esta oficina nos permitirá establecer nuevas alianzas y llevar a cabo proyectos de investigación, capacitación y política pública para la región.
Por supuesto, como un think & do global, buscaremos mantener una perspectiva crítica al tiempo que nuevas tendencias emergen en el campo de Big Data y priorizar la base ética en nuestro trabajo.
